About Harris & McKeown

Kaleen Harris  is the founding partner and president of Harris & McKeown Law Firm. She is diligent when it comes to resolving family matters efficiently and effectively, and works hard to keep her clients informed every step of the way. Kaleen strives to resolve matters in the best interest of her clients. In the event that settlement is not possible, Kaleen has extensive litigation experience, including cases involving high conflict custody issues, complex property division, and domestic violence. Kaleen is licensed in Texas and California and manages our Texas office.   

She is currently a member of the Austin Bar Association Family Law section. Kaleen graduated from Western State University College of Law, Magna Cum Laude. She was awarded the prestigious Scott McCune Memorial Scholarship two years in a row for her scholarly legal research and writing skills and served on Western State’s Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Communications from Western Oregon University.

Outside of work, Kaleen enjoys traveling to new places and spending time on the golf course. As a fairly recent Texas resident, she is a new fan of Texas barbeque and would love your recommendations for the best barbeque in town.

As an experienced attorney and partner in the firm, Andrew McKeown  works hard to get fair and favorable results for his clients in any family legal matter. He is licensed in California and Idaho, and manages our Southern California office.

Andrew graduated from Western State University College of Law, Cum Laude. During his law school tenure, Andrew served on the executive board of Western State’s Law Review, honing his research and writing skills as the editor in charge of approving all student written articles.  Andrew also participated in Moot Court where he represented Western State University College of Law, competing at the largest family and adoption law competition in the country, and was recognized as one of the top 10 oralists in the country. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from University of California Riverside.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys hiking, backpacking, and exercising.  His accomplishments include hiking the entire John Muir Trail, summiting the volcanoes of Mexico, and summer and winter ascents of California’s highest mountains.

Michael Jakovich  is the face of Harris & McKeown Law Firm and serves as our Legal Assistant. His friendly disposition, sunny demeanor, and understanding nature show clients that they are in caring, capable hands. Michael assists both attorneys in serving and filing legal documents, ensuring deadlines are met, and prepping court documents for hearings. He manages the firm’s calendar, payments, and invoicing.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling, golfing, baseball, and the Minnesota Vikings. At a recent OCBA Family Law Golf Tournament, Michael won the longest drive. Prior to working for the firm, he managed and operated a well-known Southern California bakery and provided high end desserts around the country.
